Janet De Vita is Co-Managing Partner at Watson Goepel. She practices personal injury law in British Columbia and Alberta, helping individuals navigate complex and often difficult circumstances. Her practice includes representing clients in a wide range of personal injury claims, including motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall accidents, occupiers’ liability claims, burn injuries, traumatic brain injuries, recreational and sports injuries, insurance broker negligence, and other injuries caused by negligent or wrongful acts. She also represents survivors of sexual assault and institutional abuse, providing compassionate and dedicated advocacy for those seeking accountability and justice.

Janet represents her clients every step of the way until their matter is fully resolved. She has appeared before the Provincial Court of British Columbia, the Supreme Court of British Columbia, Supreme Court Chambers, and the British Columbia Court of Appeal on a variety of matters. She has also helped clients successfully resolve their cases through negotiation and mediation. She is committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for her clients while providing practical guidance and support throughout the legal process.

Janet has acted as a mentor to female lawyers within the firm and through the Canadian Bar Association’s Women Lawyers Forum. She is a member of the Trial Lawyers Association of BC and the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association.
